Gilmore Girls

I LOVE Gilmore. Missing a show is not an option. The new season started a few weeks ago, and I have been trying to reserve judgement on what they have done with the show. I heard that this season has new writers and I can tell. I wanted to think that I was just being overly critical and trying to see differences but I know now there are changes. Gilmore was known for its fast dialouge, one of the fasted words per minute of any show, like 350 wpm. Example, Donna Reed was like 60 wpm. This season it is slower, not only are they not talking as fast but the signature pop culture references that I only get half the time but have fun looking up seem to be gone. All the things that have made Gilmore the best show on TV are changing. Will I stop watching? No way, I am so invested in these "peoples" lives that I couldn't stop. After last season's finale, I had nightmares for a week. The week before this season's premiere, the dreams started again. The show would have to change extremely dramatically for me to unplug.

New Blog

I have never done this before, but I am excited with all the possibilities. With so much of our family and friends far away, this will be such a great way to keep y'all up-to-date with our family events and interests without actually having to talk to any of you. This is the best!
